Wayfarer linen travel journal sitting at a cafe in paris with a cappuccino

I sat at a café in a foreign place where no one knew my name. My travel journal from Wayfarer was hiding under the croissant the waiter just brought my way, the crumbs of it already spread across the pages. The first bits of the city were just beginning to rise around me. The chattering of locals and rattling of ceramic espresso mugs created a morning symphony that pulled me in and refused to let go.

I took a sip of my cappuccino that the waiter brought out with a smile – and cracked open my travel journal from Wayfarer – as I began to record the happenings around me. The moments I didn’t want to soon forget. Because it was these slow moments, the ones where I could fully allow myself to feel what was happening around me, that I wanted to remember. I was embracing the art of slow travel – immersing myself in a place I’d been homesick for despite never having set foot there before. And it was a feeling I didn’t ever want to forget.

I wrote everything about that moment down, taking a bite of my croissant along the way. One does need sustenance for writing, after all. The crumbs of it would undoubtedly greet one again when I’d arrived back home. Something that I knew would bring a smile to my face and transport me back to this very moment. I finished up my morning musings and closed the travel journal – a new sense of gratitude had washed over me. I paid my bill and took the last sip of my cappuccino, wiping the foam from my lip, an upturned smile was present I couldn’t get rid of – nor did I want to.

It was time to venture off – because adventure was waiting for me in the day ahead. And I knew that in that moment, I’d experience all I’d been dreaming of.

Our travel journals were crafted to help you record postcards from the present – your most cherished moments to return to again and again. The collection will be available to purchase later this year – join the waitlist to get 10% off, and be the first to know when we launch.
